“You can not do politics without participating in it. Thus the constitution of PP GERB was a natural continuation of the desire of a lot of people for changes, for progress, for sustainability, “he said.

Dimitar Glavchev referred to the party subsidies, which is the most pressing topic at the moment.

“The topic of the subsidies is very important and interesting. People have to ask and comment on everything that troubles or worries society and answers must be given. It is the people and the taxpayers who are the ones whose voice must be heard. Everything must be explained soberly, objectively and justified by the facts, “he said.

According to Glavchev PP GERB is proud that a big part of their subsidy has always been for charity, the construction of temples and activities to help people. “It doesn’t matter if the voters sympathise with our party or not. This is a good job, regardless of the interpretations, “he added. The MP, however, did not miss to comment on the reverse position of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) regarding party financing.

“The MRF know well what is the reason for to change their position. We are responsible for our deeds and have already expressed our motives, “he added.

According to him, there are a lot of speculations about what the number of the members of the Parliament should be. “In order to make changes, there is a corresponding procedure which is neither easy nor fast. It is a fact that the National Assembly can work with about half of the deputies. We were forced to function just like that when BSP boycotted and left the parliament, “said Glavchev.

He also spoke on other important topics for the society. “We are conservative about taxes for many reasons. If the tax is reduced in one place, you must immediately compensate for it. This topic should be thoroughly discussed not with populist rhetoric, “he said.

The former Chairman of the National Assembly did not miss to comment on the situation in the European Union as well as Brexit.

“It is important our representatives in the European Parliament to be united and cohesive for the issues which are essential for Bulgaria,” he said.

In his leadership lecture, Glavchev shared his opinion about his decision for his resignation as a Chairman of the National Assembly saying it was his personal choice and enjoyed the active dialogue with the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov. and the freedom to make the decision.

Dimitar Glavchev did not miss to comment on the frequent attacks of dogs on people. ” It is unacceptable that in the 21st century dogs eat people in our streets. That is why we have very seriously taken into account this issue and decided to solve it as well as we are ready to propose a legislative initiative in this direction, “he said.

On the occasion of the forthcoming local elections, Glavchev said they expected a definite victory. “Local structures are maximally mobilized. However, we should not relax even for a moment, “he concluded.
