A unique training project for ‘Young Balkan Leaders’ has been launched. It is co-funded by Erasmus +. The Project Coordinator is the Institute of Politics, Bulgaria and the partners are Bestsellers Association and Stari Grad Municipality, Serbia as well as the Ohrid Institute and Strumica Municipality, Macedonia. The programme duration is a year and a half. It combines key topics and experienced lecturers.
The purpose of the ‘Young Balkan Leaders’ project is to have a long-term program to engage active young people from the three neighbouring countries: Bulgaria, Serbia and Macedonia.
The program aims to provide the learners with the necessary knowledge and skills for each leader and a future statesman. The skills and approaches acquired in this training course enhance the ability of young people to make decisions and act in situations of growing uncertainty. Through this programme we offer different fields of competence: leadership, corporate management, human resources, finance, private law, sociology, social dialogue, change management, political leadership and its different forms in different democratic systems, forms of government and political systems, how the EU institutions operate, as well as the recent developments in the sectoral policies.
Official guests at the ceremony for the launch of the project will be H.E. Vladimir Churgus, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Bulgaria, Marian Gyorchev, Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to Bulgaria, and Ognian Zlatev, Head of the European Commission’s Representation in Bulgaria.
