Prof. Antoaneta Hristova

is a political psychologist, director of the Institute for Population and Human Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She is also a co-founder of the Institute of Politics and Chairman of its Managing board.

Teaches social psychology, political psychology, cognitive psychology, political marketing. She has lectured at Sofia University, New Bulgarian University, Southwest University and European Polytechnical University.

She is the author of three books and dozens of scientific articles.

Kalina Krumova

is a journalist, economist, MP from 2009 to 2013

She is the author of several documentaries. A PhD student at the Institute for Population and Human Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

is an expert in economics and state governance.

Nikolay Vasilev

is a managing partner of Expat Capital – the largest independent asset management company in Bulgaria. He was a member of two Bulgarian governments – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy (2001-2003), Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications (2003-2005) and Minister of State Administration and Administrative Reform (2005-2009).

Previously, he was a senior vice president at Lazard Capital Markets, London, and an associated director at UBS Warburg Dillon Read Associate in Tokyo, New York and London.

Master of International Economics and Finance at the University of Brandeis, USA.

He is a member of the Managing Board of the Bulgarian CFA Association. He is the author of two books.

Prof. Dr. Ekaterina Mihaylova

is a lecturer at the Department of Law Studies at NBU. Honorary Professor of the NBU for contribution to the development of the theory and practice of the parliamentary state, professor of State History and Law.

Teaches History of the Bulgarian State and Law, Constitutional Law, Development of Bulgarian Constitutionalism, General Theory of State, Lawmaking etc. Member of the Board of Trustees of NBU.

An MP for six terms of office, Deputy Chairman of the 40th and 41st National Assembly.

In 2013 she became a member of the Free Pardons Committee with the President of the Republic. From 2015 she is a member of the Consultative Constitutional Council with the Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria.

She is the author of four monographs and numerous publications on constitution, state institutions and governance.

Chavdar Kiskinov

is a psychologist specializing in social psychology and group dynamics.

He teaches Small Group Psychology and Group Dynamics at the New Bulgarian University.

He works at the Institute of Psychology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences on issues of interpersonal relations, social cognitive processes, small group dynamics, multidimensional methods of data analysis. In 1983 he started working with the first psychotraining groups in Bulgaria. He participates in programs for the development of social skills in the field of industrial and tourism management and social activities.

Ernestina Shinova

is an actress. She graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov” and studied Acting in the class of Lyubomir Kabakchiev.

She has performed in dozens of theater plays and has also starred in cinema and several TV series.

She has specialized in acting in Italy.

She was awarded the Best Female Act Award in 2009 by the Union of Bulgarian Film Makers and the National Film Center.

Gen. Kalin Georgiev

is a security expert, Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Interior from 2009 to 2013.

Master of Russian Philology.

He graduated from the FBI Academy in Quantico, USA, specializing in the law enforcement agencies of the United States and the European Union.

He is the Director of the Security Division of the Bulgarian-American Credit Bank.

He has worked in the Ministry of Interior since 1996 and during his career he has reached senior positions in the Criminal Police and the Department for Fighting Against Organized Crime before taking the highest position in the professional leadership. Since 2013 he has been General of the Reserve.

He has been awarded 8 times with merits by the Ministry of Interior, full cavalier of the highest honor of the Ministry of Interior – “Honorary sign” and the medal of the Ministry of Interior “Honor and merit”. He is the holder of the Gold Medal “Justice, Freedom and Security” and the special prize “Police Officer of the Year”. Commander of the Order of the Isabelle of the Catholic of the Kingdom of Spain. He has been repeatedly awarded by EU and NATO governments, as well as by Europol, the FBI, and Secret Service.

Aura Salla

was previously working as a Member of Cabinet and Communications Adviser of Jyrki Katainen, European Commission Vice President responsible for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness. She joined Mr Katainen’s team in August 2014.

Before joining the Commission she worked in a consultancy firm Recommended Finland as a Project Manager specialising in Public Affairs and EU Communications and before that as a speechwriter in the Finnish Parliament.

Aura is a visiting lecturer at Harvard University and MIT. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Turku Finland and she has also studied Economics of the European Union in University of Leipzig, Germany.

Hristina Hristova

Hristo Mutafchiev

is an actor and Chairman of the Union of Actors in Bulgaria.

He graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov” and studied Acting in the class of Prof. Nadezhda Seikova and Ilia Dobrev.

He has played dozens of roles in theater and cinema. He has participated in TV productions and musical performances.

He has won numerous Bulgarian and international awards for his theatrical performances.

His Eminence Metropolitan Anthony

Western and Central European Metropolitan

After graduating from the Faculty of Theology at the Sofia University, since 2003 he has been appointed a professor at the “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” Plovdiv Seminary.

In 2006 he was granted Archbishop’s dignity by His Eminence Metropolitan Neofit of Ruse, then the Chairman of the Educational Committee to the Holy Synod, and today Patriarch of Bulgaria. Two years later, at the discretion of the Holy Synod, he was ordained a bishop with the title Constantine and, after his conception in Smolyan, he has spiritually cared for the inhabitants of the Rhodopes. Since 2010 he has been a bishop of His Eminence, Western and Central European Metropolitan Simeon. In 2013, he was elected by the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church as a Western and Central European Metropolitan.

Dr. Antoniy Galabov

is a sociologist and publicist. He is also an Associate Professor of Political and Cultural Sociology.

Chief Expert Assistant at the National Center for Parliamentary Studies at the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. Vice-President of the Scientific Council of the EUROPA International Association in France. is a Professor of Mathematics and Deputy Rector of the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy and of the European Polytechnical University.

He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Information Services PLC and member of the Managing Board of the state company “Unified System Operator”. Former Deputy Chairman of the Central Electoral Committee.

OSCE Advisor and International Coordinator. Representative of Bulgaria to the International Association of Electoral Administrations and the Council of Europe for e-voting. Director of the Agency for Forecasting and Analyses and Chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Electoral Systems.

Desislava Bileva

is an economist and manager of the consultancy and legal services company “Eurostar 2008”.

Prof. Dr. Lyubomir Stoykov

Ladislav Tsvetkov

is a journalist, video editor of the btvnovinite site. He also works as a multimedia reporter and creates the bulk of the images from various current events in Bulgaria for the BTV News information portal.

He was previously a reporter in several televisions. Since 2012 he has worked for BTV.

He has two master’s degrees, the second one obtained after completing his thesis on “Public Power and Media” for the work of the media in the main institutions in our country.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elka Traykova

is Director of the Institute of Literature at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. A philologist habilitated with the study “History of literary polemics in the twentieth century”.

Lecturer and guest lecturer of universities and academic institutions in Poland, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Belgium and the USA. Leader of 4 international projects, participates in the scientific teams of 11 national projects, exploring the Bulgarian cultural history and modernity. Compiler and editor of 14 scientific collections. She is the organizer of 25 international and national scientific conferences. She is the author of the book “Bulgarian literary polemics” (2001), as well as 84 studies and articles published in authoritative scientific collections and periodicals.

Ivaylo Vezenkov

is a specialist in the field of mass communications. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Literature and Slavonic Studies at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski “. He is trained in a Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication program at the State University of Arizona. His career development has improved through working for Vitosha Radio (May 2005 – March 2007); TV7 (March 2007 – April 2008), as well as the BTV newsroom (April 2008 – September 2015).

Since September 2015 he has been a producer in BiT. He also worked for CNN, New York and 12 NEWS, KPNX – NB (Phoenix, Arizona). He speaks English, French and Polish.

Krassimir Kutsuparov

was born on 10th April 1960 in Sofia. He studied Bulgarian Philology at Sofia University “St. Kl. Ohridski “. He also worked for the” Fellowship of the Masters of Folk and Artistic Crafts “-the wrought iron section. He graduated NATFA (The National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts) “Kr. Sarafov “- the specialty of acting. He has worked for the Drama Theatre in Vratsa; for the Theater of Musicals – “Atelier 313” in Sofia; for Sofia Drama Theater; for the “Tear and Laughter” dramatic theatre, Sofia: for BTV, for Nova TV Broadcasting Group AD.

Currently, he is an actor in the team of the Satirical Theater “Aleko Konstantinov” and is teaching drama at NATFA” Krastyo Sarafov ” in Sofia.

Associate Professor Nickolay Mladenov

is a Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Acibadem City Clinic MHAT (multiprofile hospital for active treatment) Tokuda, Sofia. He is a Republican consultant in Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation and a Member of the European Association of Anaesthesiology.

He is a Colonel and an army reserve officer with a long-term experience and practice at MMA (Military Medical Academy), Sofia.

Graduated the strategic course with qualification “Fulfilment of duties at leading positions in the national security and defence system” at the Military Academy “Georgy Sava Rakovski”. He has participated in a number of medical rescue activities and evacuations in Bulgaria and abroad. He graduated the Medical University of Sofia. He has a Master’s degree in “Economics of Defence and Security” at the University of National World Economy (UNWE) and a Master’s degree in “Healthcare Management “ at the University Hospital for Active Treatment “Tsaritsa Yoanna – ISUL” as well as a number of specializations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Russia and other countries.

He is an author of over 80 published issues on current problems in the field of resuscitation and intensive care

He has a PhD thesis in “Architectural model of pre-hospital and hospital traumatic assistance in explosive terrorist injuries among the civilians”.
At present, the theoretical statements made in the dissertation have been applied to the needs of the Prosecution for the cases related to the terrorist attack in Sarafovo in Bourgas and the incident in Gorni Lom.

Ilina Nacheva

is a social psychologist, a chief assistant at IPHS (Institute for Population and Human Studies)-BAS. She has worked for projects dedicated to social researches and PR. She also participated in the development of training materials for educational and business organizations. She has professional experience in designing and conducting trainings in the areas of teamwork, leadership and effective communication.

She has a Master’s degree in Social and Legal Psychology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski ” and is awarded with a doctoral degree with a thesis in the field of the political image at IPHS (The Institute for Population and Human Studies) -BAS (2010). She has specialized experimental social psychology at Cardiff University, Wales (2008) and mixed methods in social research at the University of Oslo, Norway (2016). A certificate for a coach of group-dynamic training and organizational behaviour at “Top Consult” (2009); a certified coach of Noble Manhattan Coaching (2014).

Her professional experience includes conducting training for salesmen teams and management in various organizations. She has worked as a corporate coach for ING and has established her own consulting practice in Two Partners.

Tolya Stoicova

is a professor of social and media psychology. She graduated Psychology and English Philology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski “. At present she is a professor at the New Bulgarian University, Department of Mass Communications. She has worked for more than 20 years at the Institute of Psychology – section of Social Psychology.

She has occupied various leadership positions as a Scientific Secretary and Deputy Director, Editor-in-Chief of the Psychological Research Magazine at the Institute of Psychology, BAS; a Head of the Department of Mass Communications and Deputy Rector of International Affairs and PR at NBU. She has held courses at the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts, at Plovdiv University and SWU, Blagoevgrad and is currently a lecturer at NBU, at Sofia University and NSA (National Sports Academy), Sofia; has specialized in Austria, the Netherlands and Germany.

Dimitar Gardev

is an expert in international security, information and hybrid countermeasures and the processes of globalization. He graduated from the University of National and World Economy in the program “International Economic Relations”. His Master’s thesis at the University of Information Technology in the specialty of: “Information Security” is about “Mass Media and the Hybrid-Information Confrontation Russia-Ukraine”.

During the period of 2000-2004 he was an expert at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the South Eastern Europe Directorate.

From 2005 to 2010 he worked at BTC – “VIVACOM” as a manager of “Business Risk” section, political and business risk analysis as well. He has been an international project manager for two years at Efco – Group.

Anton Hekimyan

is one of the most popular and loved leading television broadcasters. He has a Bachelor degree in Journalism from Sofia University and there after graduated his Master’s degree with the thesis in “Electronic Media” at the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communications at the Sofia University. He has started his professional career as a bTV trainee since he was a first year student, and since 2004 he has been a reporter in the morning show in bTV. He has gone through most of the difficulties of starting from scratch, and recommends that …”anyone who wants to engage in journalism or simply be good at work should not miss the initial steps”.

As a reporter he used to wake up almost every morning the audience from different parts of Bulgaria for years. Later, he became the host of the Saturday – Sunday morning show on bTV: “This Saturday” and “This Sunday”.

He says he keeps a memory of every story about people he met, such as those from the Ice Male Dance (Horo) in Kalofer or Father Atanas Arolski from the village of Hvoyna, who at 90 years walked around and served the Christian villages without a priest.

In June 2014, he started the top-rated morning show “This morning” on bTV. The typical style of the journalist are the dynamic presentations of the topics and events associated with the politics, the social problems of society and culture.

Commissioner Yavor Kolev

has over 20 years of experience in counteracting the organized crime. He is the head of the Cross-Border Organized Crime Department of the Directorate-General for Combating Organized Crime since 2012.

Since 2006, he has been the head of the Cyber Crime Investigation Sector. His assigned unit has national competence in the fight against national and transnational criminal groups dealing with cybercrime, trafficking of human beings and cultural and historical values. During the period 2013-2015 he administers the Cyber Crime Department of the State Agency of National Security. He is a member of the State Committee of Gambling, the Council of the Protection of Intellectual Property at the Ministry of Culture, the Public Council of Combating Illegal and Harmful Content on the Internet, etc.

He has gone through numerous specializations in the field of computer crimes, computer evidence and international cooperation and collaboration.

He is an author of methodologies for investigating crimes against intellectual property in the field of telecommunications and software piracy, and investigating and prosecuting cybercriminals and cybercrimes.

Under his guidance is the National Contact Point 24/7 for high-tech crimes as well as the Unified Contact Point of the Bulgarian Law Enforcement Authorities with Facebook.

He was awarded the honoured prizes of the Ministry of the Interior – 3rd, 2nd and 1st degree; awarded with the Badge of Honour of the Ministry of the Interior, 3rd and 2nd degree, as well as the Honourable Medal of the Ministry of the Interior, given by the Minister of Interior and awarded with a number of international honours.

Tatyana Kalkanova

is the Executive Director of the Human Resources Development Center. She administers the implementation of the Erasmus + Program in Bulgaria and is responsible for the selection, monitoring and control of project activities of the program in Bulgaria.

During the period 2014-2015, she was an independent consultant at the Ministry of Education and Science, responsible for the project -“Macroeconomic Analysis of the Operational Program – Science, Education for Smart Growth 2014-2020”.

In 2013, she was a consultant of the SABER project (Systems Approach for Better Education Results) – Teach for Bulgaria, funded by the World Bank.

Tatyana Kalkanova has been twice MP of the parliamentary group of NMSS (NDSV) during 12/09/2001 – 15/05/2005 and 14/07/2005 – 25/06/2009.

She has a Master degree in Bulgarian Philology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski “. She is a PhD in Sociolinguistics; speaks English, Russian and Serbian.

Her professional experience is extremely useful in terms of the policies in the field of education and science.

Borislav Sarafov

is a Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Republic of Bulgaria. He has been in office since January 2013.

Throughout his career he has been working mainly on lawsuits against organized crime figures. He was an investigator in the case for the biggest drug laboratory in Bulgaria, Opitzvet, as well as in the cases against Boyan Petrakiev – Barona.

As a prosecutor of the Supreme Cassation Prosecution Office, he conducted the investigations against the Galevi brothers, Zlatko Beretata, “the Killers gang” in the case in the town of Shumen, against Atanas Mundev from club “777” from the town of Sliven; the drug dealer Stefan Bonev – Sako; the highway plunderer Emil Milev – the Crocodile, the members of Parliament: Gunay Sefer and Mithat Tabakov; against the prosecutors: Dimitar Vikentiev and Toma Tomov.

In 1994 he graduated from the Higher Institute of the Ministry of Interior – Sofia, the following specialties: “Law” and “Counteraction to Crime and Public Order Protection”. He speaks Russian, German and English.

His professional knowledge is focused on the corruption counteraction.

Todor Todorov, Eng.

has over 30 years of designing, consulting, management and academic activities in the field of transport planning, design and construction including the project management of the investment programs of the Road Administration in the period 2000 – 2003, financed by European Union funds like PHARE: “Cross-border cooperation program with Greece; Transit Roads Programs 3, 4 and 5”, financed by the European Investment Bank; The World Bank Rehabilitation Program Project.

He has participated in the transport planning and design of transport networks in Sofia and Plovdiv as a team leader developing the General Plan for Traffic Organization.; projects for the development of the Public Transport in Bourgas and Varna, as a team leader for the realization of “Fast Bus Service”, including the realization of bicycle infrastructure.

He is experienced in the institutional and organizational aspects of public transport. A member of the Board of Directors of the Urban Center Mobility during 2012-2015. In 1983 he graduated from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy – Sofia as a Master Construction Engineer of “Transport Construction”.

At present, he is a senior expert at “Transconsult-22” OOD. and a lecturer at the Faculty of Transport at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG).

Tsvyatko Georgiev

is a member of the Board of “The Institute of Group Psychology” Foundation.

From 2014 to 2017, he is a National Security Advisor and Deputy Minister of the Interior.

During 2010-2013 he was a Chief Expert Associate in the Legal Commission of the National Assembly (Sub-committee of Parliamentary Control and Surveillance of Procedures under the Special Intelligence Means Act and the Electronic Communications Act).

He performs inspections in the structures using and implementing the SIM and accessing data given by the Western European Union WEU (court, prosecutor’s office, MI – Ministry of Interior and SANS- State Agency of National Security, mobile operators) on the legality of the procedures and analysis of the data received and provided by them.

Dr. Sam Potolicchio

is a guest lecturer at the Institute of Politics. He specializes in the field of government, leadership and political communications. Dr. Sam Potolicchio is Director of Global and Custom Education at the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University, USA.

Potolicchio was named one of the best professors in the US in a Princeton ranking. He was elected a future leader of American Higher education by the Association of Colleges and Universities and is a winner of the OZY Educator Award as one of the six most outstanding American educators and lecturers.

Potolicchio has delivered lectures in over 85 countries. He has spoken to students at Oxford, Yale, Cambridge, Sorbonne, Brown, and others.

He is the President of a Global Leadership Training Program that prepares rising leaders from over 100 countries.

Potolicchio is a senior advisor to high-ranking officials around the world. He is a guest lecturer at New York University.

Anton Lyubomirov Ivanov

is a Mechanical engineer who graduated Technical University of Sofia – the Department of Heat and Nuclear Energy in Sofia. With over 30 years of experience in the energy sector of Bulgaria, including work and business at the Technical University of Sofia as well as in a specialized design organization and unit for project management in the field of nuclear and conventional energy.

He has experience in developing system safety analysis, energy efficiency analysis and the use of renewable energy. Prof. Ivanka Mavrodieva-Georgieva

is a lecturer in Rhetoric, Business Communication, Public Relations and Academic Writing at the Sofia University.

She has written her thesis on parliamentary eloquence in Bulgaria. Her PhD dissertation has been associated with the political rhetoric in Bulgaria since 1989, including the oratories from rallies and protests to Web 2.0.

She is the author of books presenting systematized scientific information in new fields and in traditional areas: “The Parliamentary Eloquence in Bulgaria in the XVIII, XIX and XX ONA” (Ordinary National Assembly) (2001); “Job Interview” (2002), “How to Present Successfully?”(2007);” Virtual Rhetoric: From Blogs to Social Networks “(2010),” Academic Writing “(2005); “Academic Communication” (2010) – co-authored by Yovka Tisheva, “Political rhetoric in Bulgaria: from rallies to Web 2.0 (1989-2012)” (2012), “Rhetoric and public relations” (2013); an author of 90 issues in scientific journals and collections; ten of the articles have been published in English, Russian, and French in well-established scientific journals in the US, Russia; as well as in collections of international scientific conferences held in Italy, Slovenia, Romania, Ukraine and others.

She is a compiler of two collections and a reader with rhetorical speeches: “Modern Rhetorical Practices” (2010), “Samples of Contemporary Eloquence” (2010), and „Communications in a Virtual Environment” (2010). Member of the Executive Board of the Rhetoric Society of Europe.

She is Editor-in-Chief of the electronic scientific journal “Rhetoric & Communications” that has been published since September 2011

Ivanka Mavrodieva has a Master’s Degree in Bulgarian Philology and Public Relations with a specialization in rhetoric at Sofia University “St Kliment Ohridski”. She is a lecturer, a researcher, a blogger, and a trainer, who supports and accepts the rhetoric as an ancient and vital science.

Anton Lyubomirov Ivanov

is a Mechanical engineer who graduated Technical University of Sofia – the Department of Heat and Nuclear Energy in Sofia. With over 30 years of experience in the energy sector of Bulgaria, including work and business at the Technical University of Sofia as well as in a specialized design organization and unit for project management in the field of nuclear and conventional energy.

He has experience in developing system safety analysis, energy efficiency analysis and the use of renewable energy. Yuri Aslanov

was born in 1951 in Varna. He graduated Political Economy in Sofia and Sociology in Moscow.

He got two dissertations in economics and in sociology. He has two academic degrees and has been awarded – a PhD for economics and a Doctor of Sociological Sciences.

In his scientific career he worked as a research associate at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and as a lecturer at the Higher Institute of Economics “Karl Marx”, currently UNWE (University of National World Economy).

He has also worked as a business manager, a specialist at the State Planning Committee and an advisor and a senior advisor at the Council of Ministers and others; worked as a journalist in radio and television programs and some periodicals as well.

Since 1999 he has been running the private AFIS sociological agency. The author of two books, three monographs and dozens of scientific and other publications in academic journals and periodicals.

Ilia Karanikolov

is a Master in Economics at the University of National and World Economy.

He has 17 years of professional experience in working-out and assessment of financial and economic analyses of EU strategies and programs; Experience in project management, development of programs and financial products; Experience in budget planning and management;

Experience in development and management of debt financial instruments.

He is a lecturer in multiple training modules for financial management and monitoring of projects funded under EU programs.

Ilia Karanikolov is currently a consultant. He is involved in consultations and participation in OP Competitiveness, OP Transport and OP Human Resources projects including project development, implementation and contract reports.

He elaborates economic, financial analyses and cost – benefit analyses of large infrastructure projects in transport.

Since 2016 until mid – 2017 he is an Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board of the Financial Instruments Manager Fund in Bulgaria EAD. During 02.2015 – 10.2016 he is an Advisor to the Minister of Economy.

He has been an Executive Director and a member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Development Bank-BDB, AD (SC). His professional experience includes a number of other important positions.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Rumen Draganov

starts work at Tourist Complex Sunny Beach, has worked as Director of Directorate at Balkantourist Foreign Tourism Company; Chief Executive Officer of Balkan Holidays AD (VTO); Chairman of the Tourism Committee at the Council of Ministers and Deputy Minister of Trade and Tourism.

He is an Associate Professor at the Department of “Information Environment for Tourism, Arts and Culture”; Director of the Institute for Analyses and Forecasts of the Information Environment in Tourism with a training Tourism Museum at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (UNIBIT).

He is a lecturer at the International Business School; Chairman of the SPA hotel Pomorie AD; Board of Directors (Grand Hotel Pomorie); Chairman of the National Board of Tourism; Member of the Management Board of the Foundation for Local Government Reform; Member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Cycling Federation and Member of the Management Board of the Association for Health Prevention, Wiesbaden, Germany.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daniela Nikolova Bobeva

Since 2013 she has been an associate professor at the Institute of Economic Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She is a Lecturer in International Finance and International Economics at UNWE (Department of Finance), at Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv (Department of Macroeconomics).

During 2002-2013 – Director of the department of “European Integration and International Relations” at the BNB.

In 2001-2002 – a Programming Director of OECD – Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, Paris.

During 1998-2001 – First Vice President of the Black Sea Bank for Trade and Development, Thessaloniki, Greece; Chairman of the Foreign Investment Agency (1994-1996); Director of the Economic Program of the Center of the Study of Democracy (1993-1994).

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diana Kovacheva

Has been awarded the MBE – Order of the British Empire by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

She was born on 16th July 1975 in Sofia. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski “. Master of Law of the European Union (Faculty of Law at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski). Master of Law of the European Union and Judicial System- the University of Nancy II, France.

Her professional experience includes: The Institute of Legal Sciences, BAS (2000-2001). Since 2013 – Associate Professor of International Law and International Relations; Lecturer at UNWE and Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski “; Director of Transparency International – Bulgaria (2002 – 2011); Minister of Justice of the Republic of Bulgaria (2011 – 2013); Deputy Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria (since 2016)

Prof. Dr. Mitko Atanasov Dimitrov

is a Professor at the Institute of Economic Research of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, with scientific interests in the field of industrial organization, corporate governance and management, entrepreneurship, economic strategies and programs, comparative research and analysis. He was a Director of the Institute (1999-2016); a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (2012-2015); an Economic Advisor to the President of the Republic (2007-2011). Long-time Editor-in-Chief of “Economic Studies Journal” – the only scientific economic magazine in Bulgaria with an internationally recognized rating. Lecturer in “Industrial Organization”, “Corporate Governance” and “Entrepreneurship” at a number of Bulgarian universities.

He is an author, co-author and editor of 15 books and textbooks and more than 70 other scientific publications quoted more than 400 times, incl. over 280 times abroad.

Leader or key expert in nearly 50 national and international scientific research, applied or educational projects. He is an organizer and plenary /guest rapporteur of more than 40 national and international scientific conferences.

Prof. Alexander Marinov

was born in 1957 in Sofia. He graduated the French Language School and has a degree in Sociology at Sofia University “St. Kl. Ohridski “. He has been a Doctor of Sociology since (1987); Associate Professor of Political Sciences (Public Administration) since 2004; Professor of Political Sciences (Public Administration) since 2016.

He is a lecturer at the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Philosophy, Sofia University “St. Kl. Ohridski “, and a lecturer at the Department of Political Sciences of Plovdiv University” P. Hilendarski “.

Georgi Stoyanov Koritarov

is a Bulgarian journalist. Born on May 10th, 1959 in Sofia. In 1979 he graduated Slavonic Philology – Serbo-Croatian language at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski “. He speaks Serbian, Croatian, Russian, Polish, English and Chinese, also uses Albanian.

He started working professionally with journalism, when the Democracy newspaper was founded and he worked and gained experience as a parliamentary reporter.

Later, he works for a short time in the newspapers “The Democracy 91” and “The Continent”.

Since 1992 he has been in Radio “Free Europe”, where he first became a political reporter and later became the leader of several shows.

In 2001, Georgi Koritarov was awarded the high degree of professionalism – a presidential prize of Radio Free Europe.

The President of Radio Free Europe and Radio Freedom – Thomas Diane in a special note highlights Korotarov’s high degree of professional work on journalism and was highly praised especially for his special role in the war in the former Yugoslavia and the Kosovo crisis.

In 2000 Koritarov’s interview with Yugoslav Constitutional Court President Milutin Sredic was circulated and widespread by all world media. It was the reason for the mass protests in Belgrade which led to the change of the Milosevic regime.

In 2003, Koritarov led the analytical review of Blitz, a joint edition of Radio Free Europe and TV BTV in the Morning- Morning Bloc Party.

In 2005, Koritarov started a show, which is a joint production of Nova TV and Radio New Europe.

Since 2010 he has been conducting the TV Plus Free Zone TV show and nowadays a TV show Free Zone at TV Evropa.

Rositsa Racheva

is a senior assistant at the Institute for Population and Human Studies, BAS. Since 1999 she has a Master’s degree in Sociology at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski “.

In 2004 she got her second Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Rositsa Racheva is a Doctor in Psychology at the Department of Psychology at the Institute for Population and Human Studies, BAS. She has a rich professional experience in her field of research.

Since November 2000 she has been a member of the Bulgarian Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapy and since October 2007 she has been a member of the Chevening Scholarship Program Association, UK.

She speaks English, Russian and German.

Zornitsa Totkova, PhD

is a senior assistant at the Institute of Population and Human Studies – BAS. Participates in projects in the field of psychology; the stages of research, participation and organization of seminars, conferences, symposia and other scientific forums; publications of scientific research results; Consulting graduates, postgraduates and PhD students. She is a Master of Applied Psychology at VFU (Varna Free University) “Chernorizets Hrabar”, Varna.

In 2014 she got a PhD degree in Psychology at the Institute of Population and Human Studies, BAS.

Since June 2017, she has been involved in the Project of Increasing the level of road safety by developing new methods for examining the psychological fitness of motor vehicle drivers.

The project aims at updating the methods of assessment of the psychological adequacy of motor vehicle drivers.

Other current projects she participates in are: Research of aggression and violence at school and personality and risky behaviour on the road (a research of the personal characteristics of drivers with risky behaviour on the road).

She speaks English, Spanish and German.

 

Tsvetelina Gyurova

is a Master of Organizational and Social Psychology at Sofia University “Kliment Ohridski” with over 20 years of experience in the field of training, assessment centres, psychological diagnostics and recruitment. She worked at the Labour Office; at the Institute of Psychology of the Ministry of the Interior and at VIVACOM as a HR manager – selection and assessment of the personnel.

Currently she is a freelance consultant. Provides training in the field of the communication skills, teamwork, emotional intelligence, managerial skills, coaching and mentoring; leadership and motivation, interviewing skills, presentation skills, conflict management, etc.

She has worked for a lot of Bulgarian and international companies, state institutions, as well as for a number of projects for the development of social skills of secondary school students, doctors, politicians.

She has certificates for working with a number of psychological questionnaires, for training groups, coaching, and psychotherapeutic experience.

 

Mihail Asenov

is an expert in waste management. Born on 18th December, 1976. He took a Master degree in Engineering Geo-Ecology at the University of Mining and Geology (1995-2000). He is a member of the “Ecological and Economic Protection Association”, NGO. Managing Director of Eko Kom 05 EOOD.

He has experience in finding sources, collecting, processing and providing environmental information; detailed knowledge of the Bulgarian and international environmental legislation. Good knowledge of the existing practices and trends on a national and global scale to reduce the harmful impact on the environment and set the foundations of sustainable development; experience in the environmental problems in Bulgaria and the opportunities for their solution; design of facilities and installations for environmental protection, reclamation of landfills; environmental assessment, EIA (Environmental impact assessment) reports, complex permits; experience in the institutions in Bulgaria and the European Union in the field of environmental protection; project presentation skills; Database design skills; preparing reports for institutions and organizations; problem analysis and proposals of possible solutions (in economic, social and technological aspects).

is a chief assistant at the Military Academy “G. S. Rakovski “. In 2015 he became a Doctor of Military Political Security Issues.
