Konstantin Preslavski class donates 30 000 lv. to build a monument of St. Cyril and St. Methodius in Serbia

The participants from the Konstantin Preslavski Class of the Institute of Politics will make a donation for building a monument of St. Cyril and St. Methodius which will be erected in Serbia. It is the ambassador’s initiative of the Republic of Bulgaria there, Mr. Radko Vlaikov.

The Representatives of GERB and BSP will donate the sum of 30 000 leva for the monument. It will be located at the “St. Cyril and St. Methodius ” high school in Dimitrovgrad (Tsaribrod, Serbia). The total amount necessary for the project is 100,000 leva.

Within the training course of Konstantin Preslavski class the Institute of Politics organized and held a round table in Belgrade about “What kind of Europe Do the Balkans want”. A host and a guest lecturer of the module in Serbia was Mr. Ivica Dacic, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of the country. It was exactly there where the idea of donation for the construction of the monument was thought up. Thus, the participants of the Institute of Politics decided to leave a trace of their successful training in Serbia and to contribute to preserving and spreading Bulgarian culture and history abroad.
